Since 2011, Contemporary Literature Press has published over one hundred Finnegans Wake Lexicons. They all deal with languages, literature, geography, music, even story and characters in James Joyce's last book. We have also published our own online version line-numbered of Finnegans Wake. It contains significantly fewer errors than many other versions. Our Lexicons have literally brought Finnegans Wake to Romania, possibly to almost all former communist countries. Students of English are beginning to come to terms with this most enigmatic of Joyce's books even in places where English was thought so little about.
It is now time for us to change the angle of approach: we are switching from Meaning to Number. We are now listing most nine-letter words, and longer, in the order in which they occur in the text itself. Our first remark was that most of them do not really exist in English as such. They are James Joyce's own concoctions.
George Sandulescu's article entitled "Cartouching" is the most adequate introduction to these three volumes. In a forthcoming volume, renowned physicist Ioan-Iovitz Popescu, Member of the Romanian Academy, will apply to Finnegans Wake his latest discoveries in Quantitative Linguistics.
Our Manual for the Advanced Study of Finnegans Wake, in 105 volumes now, is asking a very simple question: What exactly did Joyce do to the words we all used to know? As has become customary with Contemporary Literature Press, we encourage our readers to find their own answers, in the wake of Heidegger's philosophy. These lists of Long Words might prove useful to them along the way.
Don't forget linguistics: it is very important!

Long Words in Finnegans Wake
