Anunță publicarea volumului

English for Everyone

de Lidia Vianu.

(ISBN 978-606-8366-04-3)

Press Release
Bucharest, 25 October 2011

Contemporary Literature Press,
under The University of Bucharest, in permanent conjunction
with The British Council, and The Romanian Cultural Institute,

Announces the publication of

English for Everyone

by Lidia Vianu

(ISBN 978-606-8366-04-3)

This volume is another instance in our policy to further the study of the English language through literature. We firmly believe that "Language and Literature are one". To understand texts written in another language, whether literary or otherwise, we all need to master the grammar of that language.

According to the Romanian philosopher Constantin Noica, everything connected with words ends up as philosophy. According to us, everything leads to language learning and grammar. No matter how well you know a language, you must always improve what you know.

English for Everyone relies on translation from Romanian into English. Most of it consists of sentences focusing on grammar difficulties, but there are also some literary texts in it. The book is meant to teach English grammar to Romanians by means of translation into English. But it can also be used by English speakers who need to learn Romanian.

This book of English grammar comes early in the academic year in order to remind young or no longer so young students who are likely to use it that the grammar of a language is a gate to a new world. Remember that: English is fast becoming a World Language.
